Possible changes to city job applications

Rochester, N.Y. -- Changes might be coming to the applications for city jobs. Job seekers might not be asked about their criminal history.

Councilman Adam McFadden drafted the proposed change.

Criminal background checks would still be a part of the hiring process but not until applicants are called in for an interview.

City councilmembers will debate the change in meetings later this month.
