Nguyen gets maximum sentence

Rochester, N.Y. -- The woman convicted of lying on documents to buy guns used in the deadly 2012 Christmas Eve ambush in Webster was sentenced to 1 and 1/3 to 4 years in state prison on Monday.

Dawn Nguyen was sentenced for falsifying business records to buy guns for William Spengler, who set fire to his Lake Road home Dec. 24, 2012 and opened fire on first responders from the West Webster Fire Department.

Two firefighters were killed, and two others were injured in the West Webster incident. Spengler and his sister also died.

A jury found Nguyen guilty April 15.

This was the maximum sentence possible.
