Lewek denied drug treatment

Rochester, N.Y.- The Rochester psychiatrist facing charges in connection with a body found in his backyard, has been told by a judge he cannot enter a specialized court that deals with people battling drug issues.

Doctor William Lewek was arrested following an investigation on Rowley Street in January, when police found the body of Matthew Straton in his backyard.

Lewek has not been charged in Stratons death, but did face drug charges after police found cocaine on his property.

If Lewek had been accepted and he completed the program, charges against him could have been reduced or even dismissed.
