Police investigating deadly crash on Thruway

Farmington, N.Y. - New York State police are currently investigating a deadly accident that happened on the Thruway Friday around noon.

The incident happened on I-90 westbound at mile marker 343 in the Town of Farmington, Ontario County.

New York State Investigators say a passenger vehicle was traveling east on I-90 when it left the roadway, crossed the center median, and went into the westbound lanes where it was struck by a tractor trailer.

Deborah A. McDonald, 31, of Rochester, died at the scene.

Her six-year-old daughter was also in the vehicle. 

She was rushed to Strong Memorial Hospital where she was treated for minor injuries.

The driver of the tractor trailer, a 45-year-old man from Rochester, was not hurt or charged.

Deb was an employee with Heritage Christian Services. The Vice President of Advancement gave this statement:

"We knew Deb as a woman of faith and as a devoted mother. She blessed our agency and touched so many lives, always putting people first. Our prayers are with her loved ones," Mark Zawacki, VP of Advancement, Heritage Christian Services.
