Two drivers hurt following head-on crash

Henrietta, N.Y. -- Two drivers were taken to the hospital after a head-on crash in Henrietta Saturday night.

Monroe County sheriff's deputies said George Stanzione, 91, of Henrietta, was driving on Erie Station Road around 10 p.m. when he drifted into the opposite lane, hitting a car head on.

The drivers were the sole occupants of their cars and both had to be extricated from their vehicles.

The driver of the car, Ryan Jasak, 27, of Scottsville, was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for serious injuries.

Stanzione, also taken to the hospital, suffered minor injuries.

Alcohol did not play a role in the crash. Authorities are investigating what caused the accident.
