Buffalo police officers indicted

Buffalo, NY -  Three Buffalo Police Officers have been indicted for using excessive force.

Retired Lt. Gregory Kwiatkowski and officers Raymond Krug and Joseph Wendel are accused of violating the civil rights of four teens during an arrest in 2009.

Officers Krug and Wendel are accused of shooting one of the teens with a BB gun while he was handcuffed in a police car.

The names of the teenagers, ages 17 and 18-years-old at the time, were not released.

They were injured during the incident, but not hospitalized.

Federal court filings show the officers were named in a related civil lawsuit that was settled in December 2013.

Krug and Wendel were suspended with pay immediately.
