City holding public budget meeting

Rochester, N.Y. -- Residents can share their thoughts on the citys proposed 2014-15 budget Wednesday night.

The nearly $500 million plan calls for a 2 percent property tax increase and will help fund a new five-section police patrol model, changing from the current east-west structure.

The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. at City Hall on Church Street.

City Council will vote on the plan next month.
