Local restaurant owner charged with drug trafficking

Rochester, N.Y. -- A Grand Jury has charged an owner of a popular restaurant Rochester with marijuana-trafficking and money-laundering.

Michael Amalfi, Jr., along with five others, is accused of conspiring to distribute more than 220 pounds of marijuana.

Amalfi is a co-owner of The Brighton on East Avenue. He has pleaded not guilty and was released on $50,000 bond.

Alexander Green, Charles Green, Christopher Alvino, Peter Wilk and Michael Marciano were also accused in at least one of the aforementioned charges.
