Flood assistance offered for Yates County

Albany, N.Y. -- Gov. Andrew Cuomo has issued the Department of Financial Services' Mobile Command Center to Yates County to help those affected by recent flooding in the area.

Residents in the area will be able to meet with DFS representatives at the Mobile Command Center, located at the Branchport Free Library, on Thursday until 4:30 p.m. Alternatively, residents can also call the DFS hotline at 1-800-339-1759.

Resources for filing claims, making repairs and obtaining information on homeowners' insurance will also be made available.
