Utica man pleads guilty in sex trafficking case

Binghamton, N.Y. (AP) -- A 32-year-old upstate New York man has pleaded guilty in federal court to sex trafficking of a child.

Authorities say Edward Tilden of Utica was among nine people arrested in February 2012 in connection with sex trafficking in central New York that involved a minor.

He admitted yesterday helping prostitute the victim in exchange for money and drugs. The victim was 16 at the time. The arrests followed a nine-month investigation.

Tilden is in jail. He's scheduled to be sentenced in September and faces 10 years to life in prison.
