Ed Laraby, confessor to Greece teacher killing, dies

Alden, N.Y. -- The man who confessed to killing a Greece music teacher back in 1991 has died in prison.

Edward Laraby, 61, died Sunday, according to the New York State Department of Corrections. He was serving out two life sentences for other crimes in Wende Correctional Facility.

While in prison, Laraby confessed to killing Stephanie Kupchynsky, an accomplished violinist and music teacher in the Greece Central School District.

Laraby suffered from Lou Gehrig's disease and was unable to stand trial for his alleged connection to Kupchynsky's murder.
