Cold spring could bring mixed results for berry crop

Rochester, N.Y. -- The cool start to the spring in Upstate New York has brought both good news and bad news to local farmers.

While its delayed planting plans for some, farmers said might not be bad for strawberry crops.

They said the steady snow this winter protected the plants from colder air. Although the strawberries might arriver later than normal, theyre expected to be available in the same amounts.
