Armed robbery suspects arrested

Rochester, N.Y. The suspects of an armed robbery that set a car chase in motion Wednesday morning have been identified by the Rochester Police Department.

According to police, Rashad Vieux, 22, Elijah Steward, 19, and Erik Gooden, 28, all of Rochester were involved in an armed robbery on Driving Park Avenue around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.

One of the suspects approached Joseph Sault, 19, with a gun and stole his iPhone.

The suspect returned to the car and fled the scene, police said.

Police officers spotted the car later and followed it, which led to a chase from the city to Hylan Drive in Henrietta.

According to police, the three suspects were taken into custody at the scene and charged with robbery and grand larceny.
