Buffalo woman in hot-air balloon accident

Buffalo, N.Y. - 13WHAM's sister station WKBW said one of the victims in a Virginia hot-air balloon accident is from Buffalo.

Natalie Lewis, 24, is the Director of Basketball Operations at the University of Richmond.

Lewis' parents are in Virginia waiting on news of their daughter's condition.

They released the following statement Saturday:

The search continues for our beloved daughter and we remain hopeful and ask for your continued prayers.

The National Transportation Safety Board says it will have a preliminary report on a deadly balloon crash in Virginia in 10 days.

An air safety investigator said that officials have yet to examine the records of the balloon or the pilot.

Investigator Heidi Moats said once the recovery of the wreckage is complete, the agency will "examine the man, the machine and the environment."

Searchers have recovered the bodies of two of three people who were on the balloon when it drifted into a power line, caught fire and crashed Friday night.
