Police: Local duo stole, used credit cards

Webster, N.Y. -- Two people are facing charges after police said they stole wallets out of gym lockers and used the credit cards to make purchases at a local business.

A police investigation found that Selena Farruggia of Webster and Ted Casler of Ontario took wallets from unlocked lockers at Gold's Gym in Webster.

They were then accused of trying to make numerous purchases using the credit cards in those wallets at a Radio Shack in Webster.

They're facing multiple counts of felony criminal possession of stolen property, and additional charges for similar incidents throughout Monroe, Wayne, and Ontario counties.

Farruggia was also charged with criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument.

She was released on her own recognizance and returns to Webster Town Court June 4.

Casler was in Monroe County Jail without bail.
