No More Casinos Coalition releases study

Rochester, N.Y. -- Thursday, the "No More Casinos" Coalition released a study conducted on Salamanca and Niagara Falls before and after casinos were constructed.

According to the study, property taxes went up 17 percent and overall crime went up 22 percent.

Former Rochester Mayor Bill Johnson spoke on behalf of the coalition.

He claimed the study indicates property taxes and crime rate would go up if the developers choose to build casinos here.

The coalition isn't opposed to casinos, but said there are already enough in the area.
