Orleans Co. student arrested for threats

Medina, N.Y -- Police will be on hand at Medina High School Monday after a student was arrested and suspended from school for making a terrorist threat this weekend.

The school district confirmed Mackenzie Barrett, 18, was arrested Sunday for a threat made Friday to other students. 

Police said Barrett told a friend via social media he was going to do something at a specific time Monday. He was charged with making a terrorist threat, a class D felony.

The school campus had a heavy police presence Monday morning. The threats remain under investigation.
