Red Cross efforts continue in Yates County

Penn Yan, N.Y. - The American Red Cross is continuing to provide support to flood ravaged areas across Western New York Thursday, including Yates County.

The Red Cross hosted a meeting for those who are working in the clean-up efforts across Penn Yan, including Catholic Charities, The Living Well, the Salvation Army and Senator Gillibrand's office.

"By bringing these agencies together, we can better serve the people of Yates County by coordinating our efforts, ensuring everyone knows what the current and emerging needs of this community are and what services are available," Lynn Tyler, Executive Director of the American Red Cross in the Finger Lakes said in a statement.

Residents of Yates County in need of recovery assistance can speak to a caseworker by calling the Red Cross at (607) 936-3766 or going to the Penn Yan Tops parking lot at 321 Liberty Street during the hours of 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Caseworkers are available at this location through Monday.
