Police seeking help for unsolved murder

Rochester, N.Y. -- Police investigators canvassed a neighborhood near Genesee Street Thursday, seeking leads to a murder left unsolved for several months.

The crime happened Jan. 24. Christopher Edmonds, 28, was shot and killed in the parking lot of Mojoe's Pizza.

Edmonds' father is hoping someone will come forward with information.

"He's a good kid," said Nathaniel Jackson. "We loved him, we dearly miss him, and we wish that we can solve this crime."

Police said this is the only murder left unsolved from 2014.

"This has been traumatic to my family," said Jackson. "My firstborn boy gone. No reason, no explanation, we know nothing. So we just want to have some closure."

There is a $3,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and prosecution in the case.

Anyone with information is asked to call the CrimeStoppers hotline at 423-9300.
