Unity-RGH merger approved by FTC

Rochester, N.Y. -- A merger between two local healthcare systems is moving forward.

The Federal Trade Commission approved a merger between Rochester General and Unity Health System this week.

The plan earned state approval last year and is expected to be finalized in July. The move would leave the Rochester area with two health care providers, with the other being UR Medicine.
