Rochester man arrested after police chase

A Rochester man is facing several charges after a high-speed chase in Livingston County.

Sheriff Thomas Dougherty says Franklin Gay, 39, fled deputies when  they attempted to make traffic stops in Avon and Livonia.

Deputies say Gay reached triple digit speeds at which time a Sergeant terminated the pursuit.

Gay allegedly ditched his vehicle and attempted to flee on foot.  He was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, Reckless Driving, Speeding, and numerous other traffic charges.

Gay refused to take a chemical test to determine his blood alcohol content.  He is being held in the Livingston County Jail.
