Report: Golisano to bid on Bills

Toronto -- A Rochester-area billionaire rumored to be interested in buying the Buffalo Bills is indeed interested in doing so.

Tom Golisano plans to make a bid to buy the team, according to John Kryk of the Toronto Sun. The report said Golisano, 72, would team up with another Western New York businessperson, but would likely be the main purchaser in any possible transaction.

Golisano, an Irondequoit native and founder of Paychex, owned the Buffalo Sabres from 2003 to 2011 and is credited with keeping them in Western New York.

Longtime Bills owner Ralph Wilson Jr. died in March.
