Services for mom who died after pregnancy cancer battle

Auburn, N.Y. -- Services have been set for a Central New York wife and mother of twin babies who died after battling a rare form of cancer.

Calling hours for 26-year-old Jenna Hinman are scheduled for Friday from 2-8p.m. at the Pettigrass Funeral Home on 196 Genesee St. in Auburn. The funeral home said calling hours will be open for the public to pay its respects to Hinman.

Private funeral services will be held Saturday.

Hinman died Monday after a battle with choriocarcinoma, a rare pregnancy-related cancer. On March 3, she delivered twin girls, Azlynn and Kinleigh, prematurely via C-section after only 30 weeks. The girls weighed 3 pounds each at birth, and were in intensive care for more than a month.

Hinman's husband, Brandon, is a U.S. Army sergeant stationed at Fort Drum.

Those who wish to send sympathy cards to the family can address them to 9772 State Route 38, Port Byron, N.Y. 13140. You can also leave a comment on the "Prayers for Jenna" Facebook page.

Donations can be made to the "Hinman Fund" via the family's GoFundMe web page.
