Undocumented children will not be housed locally

Greece, N.Y. - The federal government is scrapping the idea of moving undocumented children to temporary housing in the Rochester area.

Buildings on Lexington Avenue in Greece were being assessed by the government to house the minors pouring into the U.S. from the Mexican border.

The government said the property does not meet requirements.

A hotel in Grand Island just outside Buffalo was also assessed and rejected.
