UPDATED: Power restored to 2,200 homes

Brighton, N.Y. - Over 2,400 home were without power in Monroe County Monday evening.

Rochester Gas and Electric reported approximately 2, 439 homes in the dark as of 8 p.m. Monday.

By 11 p.m. that night, power was restored to approximately 2,400 homes.

Brighton had the most homes in the dark with 1,631. Pittsford also experienced 518 homes in the dark and Henrietta had 290 without power.

An RG&E spokesman said crews are investigating the cause behind the outages. So far there is no obvious issue.
