Man's driver's license suspended 55 times

Buffalo, N.Y. - New York State Police arrested a Buffalo man Sunday after an investigation found 55 active suspensions on his driver's license.

William Liga, 51, was pulled over on Tonawanda St. Sunday after troopers observed a passenger in the vehicle not wearing a seatbelt.

After investigating, troopers determined Liga had 55 active suspensions on his New York State driver's license.

The passenger in the vehicle had a stay away order of protection in connection to Liga.

New York State troopers worked with the Buffalo Strike Force Detail to make the arrest.
