LPGA commissioner in Rochester

Rochester, N.Y. The month of June in Rochester usually brings the previous years LPGA winner to participate in Defending Champions Day.

The circling joke Monday was that it was Defending Commissioners Day in Rochester.

As the tour gets set for its first year at the Monroe Golf Club, this will also be its last year in Rochester.

The Rochester tournament, formerly known as the Wegmans LPGA will now be known as the Womens PGA Championship and will move to New York City.

Monday the Commissioner of the tour Michael Wan explained that this move has been in the works.
