'Whiskey 7' returns from Normandy

Geneseo, N.Y. A warplane housed in Geneseo at the National Aircraft Museum that made its way to France for the 70th anniversary of D-Day returned to the museum Saturday.

Whiskey 7 was one of hundreds of C-47 aircrafts that sent paratroopers into action at the invasion of Normandy in World War II.

Several World War II veterans, including one who jumped from the plane, got to witness the five stop trip to France.

The Return to Project Normandy was meant to pay tribute to the brave men and women who served and sacrificed so much for others.

Paratroopers had a chance to jump out of Whiskey Seven at the D-Day anniversary, just as others did in 1944.
