Nazareth College grad student dies
Rochester, N.Y. -- Police are investigating the death of a woman found in a hot tub on the city's southwest side Tuesday night.
Officers were called to a home on South Plymouth Avenue around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, where they found Lisa Voltz, 25, unconscious in a communal hot tub.
Police said Voltz was a graduate student at Nazareth College.
EMTs performed CPR and rushed the victim to the hospital, where she died about an hour later.
Police did not suspect foul play, but her cause of death is under investigation.
Voltz was a current graduate student in the master's of social work program, which is a joint MSW program between Nazareth and SUNY Brockport.
Nazareth College released the following statement:
"Our hearts go out to Lisa's family and the professors and students who worked so closely with her."
The college is working on setting up counseling services.
