New budget vote for local school district

Irondequoit, N.Y. - Voters in the West Irondequoit Central School District will head back to the polls Tuesday morning.

The proposed school budget for next year failed in a vote last month.

It needs a super majority of 60 percent to pass because it exceeds the state's property tax cap. The proposed tax levy increase would be 3.9 percent..

It received 56 percent of the vote last month.

Polls are open from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
