Fire at restaurant near Rockefeller Center

New York (AP) -- New York fire officials say no one has been seriously hurt in a restaurant fire near Rockefeller Center in Manhattan.

Firefighters brought the Friday blaze under control in about two hours after it broke out in the basement and ventilation system of a TGI Friday's restaurant.

One firefighter sustained a minor injury. The cause of the fire was under investigation.

Witness Kirby Gargantiel says he watched from a nearby rooftop as smoke grew thicker and darker. A photo on Twitter showed flames shooting from the roof of the six-story building. A fire department spokesman says the flames likely came from a vent.
