Police: Local man stole $5K worth of metal from business

Williamson, N.Y. A Rochester man was arrested after Wayne County Sheriffs deputies said he stole $5,000 worth of scrap metal from a Williamson business.

Rodney Shipman, 45, is charged with 3rd degree grand larceny and one count of petit larceny.

Deputies said drove onto the property of Refractory Maintenance on Route 104 on two separate occasions over two months and stole thousands of dollars worth of metal.
