UPDATED: Missing Greece teen charged

Greece, N.Y. - Greece police said the missing Greece teen for whom an Amber Alert was issued June 23 was charged with grand larceny after she was found unharmed in Brockport.

Investigators said the teen is 16 year-old Cassidy Geffert. No details were immediately available regarding the cause of her grand larceny charge.

A short press release said Geffert was not abducted. Police are investigating her disappearance.

Geffert is bring arraigned in Greece Town Court and will be released into her mom's care with no bail. Geffert must follow these conditions:

1. She must wear a home tracking device.

2. All weapons will be removed from the home.

3. Must be acompanied by mom from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Geffert will appear for final exam day at school Tuesday.

She was alone when she was found.

The Amber Alert initially said the girl was abducted from her home on Talnuck Drive around 10:04 a.m. Monday.

Police were looking for a stolen vehicle identified as a 2006, black 4-door SAAB with New York license plates.

Investigators said Geffert left a note for her parents, indicating she was in danger. The note had blood on it and was near the victim's cell phone.

Officers said the household was in disarray and there was a knife on the floor. 

Police said a .38 caliber handgun was also taken from the home.

According to Greece Police, the investigation is a missing person case and they are not looking for anyone else in connection with her disappearance.
