Chain reaction accident sends car into house

Rochester, N.Y. A chain reaction crash on Myrtle Street caused by an alleged drunk driver happened around 11:30 p.m. Monday night, according to the Rochester Police Department.

The victim, Reggie Young, was hit and then pushed into a house on Myrtle Street. He suffered a concussion from the accident.

According to a police report, the hit-and-run driver, 41-year-old Torrence Dyck, was going 71 miles per hour before the accident.

I could tell he tried to stop but it was too late. He just t-boned me. Hit me in the side, Young said.

Young said that he knew he was headed for the house, but blacked out before the impact with the front porch.

He didnt know if I was dead or alive or hurt. He didnt care because he kept going, Young said.

Witnesses identified the brand new white Camaro to police officers, who found the car parked outside a home on Aab Street.

Dyck was charged with DWI and leaving the scene of an accident.
