TomTom ranks Rochester’s traffic congestion

Amsterdam -- Drivers in Rochester don't have much to complain about, according to a new report.

The annual TomTom Traffic Index ranked Rochester 51st out of 63 cities in North and South America in traffic congestion.

According to the report, Rochester's congestion level is 13 percent, with an average delay of 15 minutes per hour driven during a peak period.

Thursday is said to be Rochester's worst day for congestions in the morning, while Wednesday was worst for the evening commute.

Los Angeles (36 percent) was the top city from the United States on the list at No. 4 overall, while Rio de Janeiro (55 percent) was rated the most-traffic-congested city in the Americas.
