Seneca County contractor accused of fraud

Hammondsport, N.Y. - A Hammondsport man has been arrested in connection with a contractor fraud scheme, according to Seneca County Sheriff investigators.

Investigators said Brian K. Nogiewich, 55, was arrested Monday for grand larceny, fraud and petit larceny charges.

Nogiewich owns a business called "Everlast Builders Remodelers"; investigators said he operates under the alias "Brian Keith."

Several alleged incidents of contractor fraud or larceny have stemmed from this business run by Nogiewich, some of which include:

  • Village of Waterloo: Received an $8,000 down payment for purchase of home and remodeling work and and failed to give a full refund as he promised.
  • Town of Fayette: Received $460 for generator parts and labor; resident claims he/she never received the parts or any refund.
  • City of Geneva: Received $2,700 for purchase of a home and made false promises
  • Town of Seneca Falls: Received $1,000, but allegedly never provided work or made any refunds.

Nogiewich was arraigned in the Town of Seneca Falls Court on the above charges and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond bail.

Anyone with complaints or information should contact Investigator Conkey at the Sheriff's Office at (315)220-3443.
