More security at Rochester nightclub

Rochester, N.Y. - Police are still looking for suspects after an early-morning shooting that injured two people outside Magic City nightclub.

The shooting happened Friday morning around 2am.

2 people, 23-year-old Devin Davis and 24 year-old Princeton Allison were hit by bullets, but are expected to be okay after being treated at Strong Memorial Hospital.

Blackhawk Security, the firm in charge of security both inside and outside of the club plans on having an increased security presence Friday night.

A couple of my [security] people were in the parking lot when the shots rang out, said John Nobrega, President of Blackhawk Security. This was an intentional shooting; they knew who they were after.

Police are still investigating, but Nobrega said he tried to talk to the victims after the shootings, but said they were mostly silent.

Nobrega said there would be a security vehicle stationed in the parking lot Friday night as a precautionary measure.

It is scary, Nobrega said, adding that this was the first incident to happen outside the club since it first opened in February. Our officers and employees of Magic City are going to take extra steps to make sure this never happens again.

Rochester police are encouraging anybody with any information on the two shootings to call 911.
