Teens offered plea deal

Irondequoit, N.Y. - Eight teenagers who allegedly broke into Medley Center Mall have been offered a deal to reduce their felony charges.

The District Attorneys office agreed to reduce the charge to Criminal Mischief, which is a misdemeanor.

The teens would be granted youthful offender status and their records would be sealed. In return, they would perform 80 hours of community service and pay for damages they caused inside the mall.

The teens have a week to decide whether or not to accept this plea deal. They will return to court next Tuesday.
