NEW INFO: Teens arrested at Medley Centre

Irondequoit, NY  - Nine people are accused of breaking into the Medley Centre in Irondequoit.

The teenagers were arrested Sunday around 8:35 p.m.

The teens are accused of damaging property inside the mall.

Eight teenagers, from Irondequoit, are charged with Burglary in the 3rd Degree and Criminal Mischief in the 2nd Degree.

They are being held for arraignment in Irondequoit Town Court. 

One juvenile was also arrested and will appear in the Monroe County Family Court.

Scott Congel, Managing Partner, Bersin Properties said the company is grateful to police and whomever called 911.

Congel is aware of a series of break ins at the mall.

"It is, and always has been our desire to complete this billion dollar project.  We look forward to resolving the law suits we have filed so that we are allowed to continue with this massive development project.  Hopefully, with increased police surveillance,these episodes will stop,"  said Congel.
