Could Rochester become home to immigrants?

Rochester, N.Y. - U.S. Border Control said the number of minors coming from Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras through Mexico has soared more than a thousand percent.

The critical question for the White House administration: What to do with them all?

The government is searching for facilities throughout the country, even locally. Federal officials have confirmed that the Lexington Commerce Center in Greece and a hotel in the Buffalo area are being sought to temporarily house immigrant children.

13WHAM News spoke with Greece Town Supervisor Bill Reilich, who said he's fairly certain it's an occupied building.

"I have no interest in that," said Reilich. "It could raise a lot of concerns. That building is not built or designed for this type of use. There's too many unanswered questions right now."
