Man hit by anchor during storm

Sodus Point, N.Y. - A man was taken to the hospital Sunday after being hit in the stomach with a boat anchor.

Wayne County Sheriffs deputies said that Thomas Ranzenbach of Hilton was attempting to dock his boat at Krenzer Marine on Sodus Point during Sundays storms. His brother, Norman Ranzenbach of Gates, was on the docks attempting to help.

Deputies said that the heavy winds pushed the boat forward - and an anchor that was attached to the hull struck Norman in the stomach.

He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for minor bleeding and possible internal injuries - but has since been discharged.
