Rochester man dies in motorcycle accident

Perinton, N.Y. - A Rochester man was killed after a tire blew out on the motorcycle he was riding on Route 490 near Route 96 around 2 p.m. Sunday, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.

James Weber, 63, was towing a trailer with his motorcycle when the tire failed. He managed to get to the side of the road where he hit a sign post and was ejected from his motorcycle sustaining serious injuries, investigators said.

According to deputies, he was taken to the hospital where he later died. 

The preliminary investigation reveals that the accident was caused by a worn tire on the motorcycle.
