Bishop Kearney to honor Golisano

Irondequoit, N.Y. -- Bishop Kearney High School students will be sending a thank you Thursday to the man who helped save their school.

An assembly will be held in honor of billionaire Tom Golisano, founder of Paychex and an Irondequoit native.

Last month, he arranged the financing of $3.4 million so the school could purchase the property it sits on.

Christian Brothers Institute, the schools founder, had gone bankrupt, fueling rumors the school might close.
