Reilich: building in Greece won't be used to house immigrant children

Greece, NY -  Town Supervisor Bill Reilich does not believe a building in Greece will be used to house immigrant children.

U.S. Border Control said the number of minors coming from Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras through Mexico has soared more than a thousand percent.

The Lexington Commerce Center in Greece and a hotel in the Buffalo area are being sought as temporary housing.

Reilich says the property owner assured him that, if the community is not on board, the government won't pursue this location.

The building is 96% occupied.

Reilich says he is concerned about immunizations, safety, and uncertainty of hastily arranged plan.
