Van driver reports broken window while in Webster

Webster, N.Y. - New York State Police and Webster Police are investigating a report of a broken van window that came in Tuesday afternoon.

The driver of the commerical van called police around 3:30 p.m. to report a broken window.

The driver said he was eastbound on 104 near 5 Mile Line Road when the passenger side window was hit.

State Police said it is too early to say if this incident is connected to the 12 other roadway incidents over the last two months.

Police removed the window to send in for forensic testing.

Nothing was recovered from the vehicle to determine what broke the window, but police are searching Gravel Road and the canal path, which is where they believe the projectile came from.
