Man recovering after shooting

Rochester, N.Y. -- A man was recovering Thursday morning after being shot several times on the citys north side Wednesday night.

Police said the shooting happened on Hudson Avenue near Fairbanks Street just before 11:45 p.m. Wednesday.

They said the victim was walking to a store when one of the suspects shot him in a lower extremity. The victim, 23, then walked toward Durnan Street for help.

Police found him dazed but conscious before he was taken to the hospital. They said he is expected to recover.

Police did not have any suspects in custody. They asked anyone with information that could help with the investigation to call CrimeStoppers at 423-9300.
