Rochester sisters sentenced in sex trafficking case

Rochester, N.Y. - Two Rochester women were convicted of conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of minors, U.S. Attorney William Hochul, Jr. announced Friday.

According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Tiffany Lee, Jerese Blue, 27 and Chellsie Blue, 24, recruited two children to commit sex acts for money.

The sisters also posted online advertisements calling the victims escorts, and used their homes on Arnett Boulevard for the activities.

"It has been often said that sex trafficking is a form of modern day slavery, " U.S. Attorney Hochul, Jr. said in a statement. "The fact that the defendents here compelled two children into this dark world only adds to the egregiousness of the crime."

Jerese Blue was sentenced to 108 months in prison and five years supervised release, while her sister Chellsie was sentenced to 72 months in prison and five years supervised release.
