Drivers react to roadway incidents
Monroe County, N.Y. - Police are telling drivers not to be alarmed after nearly a dozen incidents in which cars have been damaged on major roadways.
Sheriff's deputies confirmed that the damage in three of the incidents were caused by BB's.
Investigators could not confirm if that was the case for the other incidents.
Deputies believe the incidents are related, and the suspect or suspects may be inside a moving vehicle during the crime.
"I might not take this stretch of 390 if that's where it is happening a lot," said Jeff Meyer of Macedon who frequents I-390. "I might go around, but I think that's what I'm going to do."
"Hopefully before anyone gets hurt they get them off the road or off the sides of the road," said Eric Schultz who takes I-390 for work.
Police are telling people to be aware of their surroundings, and to call police if they notice any suspicious activity.
If you are targeted, police say to quickly pull over when it is safe and call police.
