ROC building to house immigrant kids?

Rochester, N.Y. - Could Blossom South, the closed-down nursing home, house immigrant children?

On Sunday, Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren's team sent out a statement saying that Warren's Chief of Staff was contacted by a lobbyist on behalf of Blossom South to gauge city interest on a destination for the stream of children pouring into the U.S. from Central America.

Warren's team made clear that it was a simple inquiry - nothing more.

When asked just days ago about Rochester housing immigrant children, Warren told 13WHAM that she was open to the idea, though there was no specific location or prospective idea in the works.

Sunday's statement said Warren's Chief of Staff will brief the Mayor on Monday about Blossom South's inquiry.
