Strangers edit photo for grieving father

A grieving father, devastated by the loss of his daughter, turned to social media to help him grieve.

Nathen Steffel, of Ohio, posted a picture of his daughter Sophia on Reddit.

Sophia died on July 10 from complications from a liver tumor; she was just six weeks old.

Steffel said because his daughter had been hospitalized since birth, they were not able to get a picture without tubes in place.

In his initial post, he wrote:

"Photoshop Request: My daughter recently passed away after a long battle in the children's hospital. Since she was in the hospital her whole life we never were able to get a photo without all her tubes. Can someone remove the tubes from this photo?"

Users submitted their edited versions of the picture, along with sketches and oil paint impressions of Sophia.
